The fun part about being a mom, is being able to pass along something that you hold near and dear to your heart. Kids definitely learn by example, and it seems that my paper crafting hobby has rubbed off onto both my 5-yr old and 8-yr old daughters. You have no idea how much this delights me! In fact, I think I more than rubbed off on my 8-yr old, because she even came up with a new technique last night (well, at least new to us). We just had to share it with you all!
Since getting a taste for creating video tutorials, I've realized that I want to be able to bring more of this to my readers. I think videos add a lot of character to my blog and I love being able to teach what I know to others. So, we decided it would be fun to share Haley's new technique with you via a video tutorial. Lucky you!
Also, because I'm focusing on my daughter's today, Elizabeth (5), insisted that I also share one of her creations on my blog as well. Now, we wouldn't want her to be left out, would we?
Before you go, could you answer a question for me, pretty please?
What types of techniques and tips would you like to see in video form on my blog?
I'll do my best to post something on whatever you guys want to learn about, and there WILL be more videos, I promise! Enjoy today's lesson and have a great day!

Haley you are now a star and I'm so proud of you!!! Keep on stamping. Am I going to get a valentine from you and Ellie? Love your card Ellie and here comes your kisses xxxxxx Robogranny signing off!!!!
ReplyDeleteThumbs up, Miss Haley!
ReplyDeleteWay to go Miss Haley!!! This is awesome! I think we all have a lot to learn about crafting when it comes to our kids. I seem to take forever to make a card or project and my daughter just goes with it. Thanks for sharing the awesome video! I would love to see some more new found techniques.
ReplyDeleteYou tell Haley she did a phenomenal job!!! My big ole bongo lips are always chapped, how do I recreate that texture ;) ? Love your videos and especially love the mother-daughter duo!
ReplyDeleteHey nice job :-)
ReplyDeleteI would love to learn the chalkboard effect technique, it is beautiful but I don't seem to do right, it just looks messy.

ReplyDeletewould love to see more tips on how to get that professional look ie.better stamping, better finishing off and new techniques. Thanks for asking.
Haley, that is one cool technique! Thank you for sharing it~
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, your card is SO MUCH fun!
Jax, I would love to see you assemble one of your signature cards that have, like, a million different pieces. LOL. Do you use tweezers, and what kind of adhesive do you use? Your most recent was "A Swirl of Squares". If that is "too much" to video~I totally understand, LOL. I was just curious about your steps~
Happy Valentine's Day!
This is a great technique! The lips look really good with the texture. I'll be trying this.
