In Stitches

Just popping in today to let you know that the Technique Tuesday team is playing around with the IN STITCHES stamps over on the blog. You have got to see all of the inspiration that can be found there. Here's what I'm sharing:

Pretty cool how it looks like real stitching, right? When I was thinking about ways to use this set, I kept coming back to applique and what a pain it is!!! So, why not a faux applique? Much easier and a whole lot less stress. To create the stitching around the circles, I placed the stitches stamp over the top of the circle stamp, to make sure if fit correctly. And pssst, don't have a heart attack, but I snipped off a few of the stitches to make it fit. Gasp. I know, but I do it all the time. The stamp can easily put back together on a block, so no biggie. You'd be surprised at how you can customize your stamps this way.

Alrighty, have fun checking out the projects and have a cool & awesome day!

  1. Love your card, Jax! I am still not gutsy enough to cut up my stamps. I'm a whimp, I know. TFS!
