"Give Thanks" Jar

*This is my second post today. Please scroll down or click HERE to see some Clear & Simple Stamps fun.

Oh boy you guys, I can't even begin to tell you how thrilled I am about sharing today's post. A little while back, Lisa from Avocado Arts approached me about guest designing for them this month...little old me. Needless to say, I can't believe that I get the prestige and honor of playing with their stamps. A huge thanks to Lisa and Avocado Arts for allowing me to be a part of this month's release.

So, you are probably wondering what this month's release is, right? It's called "Gobble Till You Wobble" and  looks like this:

Ca-ute, right?

I have for the LONGEST time wanted to create a project for recording the things my family is thankful for. It would be used at Thanksgiving. I know, it's a pretty common and overrated tradition, but I thought just maybe if I jazzed it up a bit, it would make it more fun. So, enter "Give Thanks" Jar. I thought some of the images in this set were perfect for sprucing up a jar. Check it out:

I LOVE that little wheat bunch embossed in gold and that little tag works perfectly alongside it. For the wrap, I just used the rolling method with the stamps to create those two-toned leaves

Here's my favorite part - that "i am thankful for" stamp. It was too perfect for stamping on my strips where people will write the things they are thankful for. I just masked off the you part of the stamp. Just to tie it all together, I included a little bow on my pencil. I tried embossing on the side you can't see, but well, that looks about as good as Frosty the Snowman on a warm, sunny day. I'm gonna have to practice that a little more before sharing.

That's it for today. Thanks for popping in and check back on the 8th as I will be sharing another project using this adorable set. Also, make sure you check out the Avocado Arts blog as well.
