CSS Party Hop: A Summer Soiree!

Summer is drawing to a close. Unbelievably, my kids go back to school next week. We have seen the last few days of the sun beating down on our skin and splashes in the pool. What better way to send off summer with a bang than to host a POOL PARTY! - one last hurrah!

I officially invite you to my imaginary Summer Soiree. If I actually had a pool, you'd better believe this imaginary party would no longer be imaginary.  So, in imaginary land, if I was hosting this big bash, I'd be inviting lots and lots of my super cool friends. Since I have SO many friends, to help keep the cost down, I'd start with a postcard invite. Postcards actually require less postage and can get the same point across.

I embossed the sea shells from SEASIDE in white and then sponged over it with aqua. The sentiments and back side of the postcard were created using the new PARTY ELEMENT: CELEBRATION set. Simple, striking and flat!

And what's a party without snacks. Lifesavers make the perfect "Life Preservers" and water bottles filled with gatorade or blue dyed water create the perfect "Ocean Water". You could continue on with the beach theme by providing goldfish, twizzlers (pool noodles) and suckers wrapped up to look like an octopus. Lay it all out on a bed of sand and your theme is complete.

Now, kick back and relax and enjoy the rays of sunshine beating on your skin. And, don't forget to hop around to the rest of the girls on the design team to see how they are celebrating the party hop today.
