Chevrons Rule

Apparently turning 35 = inability to focus.

Or, perhaps the last child going off to school = inability to focus.

I might be enjoying my new sense of freedom a little bit too much. I'm not gonna lie, I've been savoring my quiet mornings, coffee, reading and time to run off and exercise without any strings attached. Don't get me wrong, I DO miss my kids, but anyone who has had three young children at home at one time, knows how stressful that phase of your life can be. I finally have some time to breathe a sigh of relief and to really focus on doing some things that I've put off for the last 9 years.

Oddly, I thought that having all of this time to myself would allow me to focus on my card making hobby, but I honestly haven't had the desire to sit still. I've been taking advantage of the few days that are left of the nice weather to bike, run, and shop! So, I do apologize for neglecting my hobby for a bit. Lucky for you, I did happen to pull together some stuff a few weeks ago before school started. One such thing was a card using one of the newest sets from Technique Tuesday - Chevrons. We all know how HOT those boogers have become. Technique Tuesday has also released some journaling cards. They are meant more for using in your scrapbooking, but I've used it on a card and I think it looks pretty darn neat-o!

Enjoy and hopefully in a few weeks, I will be able to sit still and prioritize time for my hobby.

  1. Fab stamping of the chevrons! I love the journaling card, too. I know what you mean about not able to focus when the kids leave. Enjoy the R&R!
