Paint Spattering (PDCC #132)

Alright, so I'm late with my post again this week. Do you think I'm a bit distracted? Last night, my dad stopped for the night on his way down to Florida. He is starting work this next week and last night was one of the last chances I had (and my kids had) to see him before he moves for good. I relished every moment. I have to admit I was a bit sad seeing him pull out of the driveway this morning. I know we will still see them, but there's something about knowing that there's going to be a whole lot more distance between us. That said, hubs and I are now on the two-year plan to get our butts moved to FL. We've been starting to evaluate where we can fix up our home to make it more appealing to potential home buyers. Our house is over 40 years old and we still have the original stovetop! Last night, a new back door went in. It's so wrong for a person to be that excited about a new door!

Anyway, there's a new color story up at The Play Date Cafe and this week is a color splash! Yay. For this challenge, you need to create a project using black and white with just a tiny splash of mustard.

I decided to hop on the paint spatter bandwagon and see what I could do with it. It is so popular now, that there's even a challenge at The Moxie Fab World to use spatter. I had a blast creating this. The negative images took me back to my graphic design days.

This week's sponsor at The Cafe is Want2Scrap. They have some amazing bling available on their site and if you look closely, you can see a few shiny dots on my card. This stuff is so fun to use and really affordable. Karen Taylor, their DT coordinator is also sharing her amazing talent with us this week. Please visit The Play Date Cafe blog to check out what our sponsor is offering as a prize and to see the work of the rest of the team.

Have a great day!
