This week I spent a little bit of time at Barnes and Noble doing this:
You know why? Yep, that's MY card on the cover (the Hero one)! A little overboard? Maybe. But, as I told my son, it's not every day that you get on the cover of a magazine. I mean, really. I had to let that really sink in. MY work is on a cover across the country in front of millions of people. So yeah, I may have added 2 min. of extra work to some employee's day, but I told my son to just let me have 5 min. of fame.
Alright, my 5 minutes are done. Aside from that excitement, Clear & Simple Stamps is sponsoring the Card Patterns Sketch challenge this week. The newest sketch is designed by Tracy Schultz who I am on the CSS team with. I thought it would be fun to support her and CSS by playing along.
I love using sentiments to create backgrounds. I've used the Cart Pals: Occasions set here. I also thought it would be fun to use a bit of cork since it kinda looks like sand. Why don't you pop over to Card Patterns Sketches and give it a try yourself. If you win, I promise you won't be disappointed in those amazing Clear & Simple Stamps!
Thanks for stopping in today. I hope you are having an amazing weekend!
