How About A Good Cuppa? (PDCC #105)

I HAVE FOUR SISTERS.

My family is very close.  We have helped each other through the hardest of times.  There are definitely moments of tension, but we always come back around with a big old family group hug.  As you can probably imagine, four hormonal sisters make for an interesting dynamic.  But, we are strong and we love each other dearly.  That is why each year, we plan a sister trip just for the five of us.  We take turns planning where we are going and what we will do.  Our ideas don't always line up, but we always seem to create some really great memories.

One of my sisters spent some time in Holland, MI.  While she was there, we visited her as a family and I fell in love.  What a beautiful, quaint little town!  We decided to go back later on for one of our trips.  My sister showed us some of her favorite hang out spots.  One of those places was an eclectic coffee shop called Lemonjello's (pronounced lee-moan).

Why am I telling you this?  Well, not only because I wanted to share that little jewel of a city with you, but also because this week's Play Date Cafe photo inspiration shows two of those wonderful coffee drinks we enjoyed while we were at Lemonjello's.

Observe.

Looks delicious, doesn't it?  Well, it was!

Here's my card for this week.  A little out of my normal CAS mold, but I like how it turned out.  This week's sponsor is The Kraft Outlet.

So, here are a few other photos from our trip (these are a few years old)

My parents named us after several of the Charlie's Angels (I was named after Jaclyn Smith), so we ALWAYS have to do an angels pose whenever we are together.  Boy, was the guy at the hotel desk MORE than happy to take our picture.

There's a beach nearby, called Tunnel Beach because you walk through a tunnel to get to it.

And then we go and take goofy photos like this...well, SOME of us got the memo that it was goofy.

Near the beach, was this "U-shaped" tree.  We thought it was so unusual, that we stopped and took some photos in it.

Thanks for taking a little stroll down memory lane with me today.  If you are interested in ever visiting Holland, MI, shoot me an email and I'd be happy to share the places we went with you.

Remember to pop on over to The Play Date Cafe to be inspired and to see what you could possibly win this week.

  2. What fun photos, I love that you took the photo for the inspiration and no one on the DT made a card with a coffee theme! (I just say that b/c I love all coffee cards). But your sentiment sums you your sisterly time, so that's great too.

  4. Love your beautiful card, Jax! And love hearing about you and your sisters! Isn't Holland wonderful? I nearly went to college at a small school located there (Hope College). And my mom's family is Dutch, so we just love it anyway. :-)
