What's Up Gnome Girl? (OTWC #49)

TGIF!!!! This has been the slowest week ever.  I'm glad it's finally the end of the week.  Although, I must say that I have enjoyed the beautiful few days we've had this week.  It was nice to breathe in some fresh air and to get a bit of sun on my face.  Two weeks have passed and that means another Off The Wall Craftiness challenge.  Take a look:

I have determined after this week that I just don't have enough colors of ink!  I'm sure no crafter has ever had that thought, anywhere.  I really had to get creative with my supplies this week to do some of these challenges.  And in the end, my green and yellow still ended up being more muted.  Boo, me.  Awww, well, close is better than not close.  Take a gander at my card using these colors.

I started this one out by masking off a space for the sentiment and then stamping those happy little shroomies from the Wilson Designs "Gnomebody Like You" set to create a background.  I removed the mask and stamped "gnome girl".  The happy birthday is a rub-on from a BasicGrey card kit.  The frame is from my newest set from WPlus9.  I started my little gnome girl out as colored with watercolor pencils, but I didn't feel like the colors matched well enough, so I paper pieced some clothes over the top of her (reuse and recycle, right?).  Unfortunately, she looks like she could use a sunny vacation.  For some reason, my colored pencil makes her look albino.

Thanks for stopping in today.  Let's see what you guys can do with this color combo.  You have two weeks to give it a try and if you use Wilson Designs stamps, you will be entered to win twice.  Take care and have a super duper weekend!

  6. Hey, here's my little gnome girl card! Albino? Gee, never thought that when I laid eyes on her! Maybe our sunlight in New Jersey gives her just the right shading. LOL THanks for sending it to me, JaX!
